(Rec. 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 3. The National Farmers’ Union states that fcheep losses as the- result of the snow and cold run into thousands in Wales and the Durham counties alpne. The normal winter loss is 5 to 6 per cent., but this year it will average 20 to 25 per cent on the lower country, and 60 per Cent, on the high country in many areas winter fodder has run out, and farmers cannot bring in their flocks to feed them ■_ or reach them with emergency supplies. In Southern England the spring sowing of wheat and barley will be at least one month behindhand, and heavy losses of winter-sown wheat are expected. . ■ !
