LONDON, March 3.—Moscow radio announced that Generalissimo Stalin'has resigned from the . post of Minister of the Armed Forces. His resignation has been accepted and General Bulganin has been appointed his successor. SYDNEY WATERFRONT CRISIS. SYDNEY, March 4.—A crisis "is developing on the Sydney water-, front because of the overtime dispute, and Sydney union officials say that the port might be completely idle to-morrow if there are , further suspensions. A number of watersiders have been suspended because they refused to work an extra three-hour shift after 5 p.m. The president of the Sydney Waterside Workers’ Federation, Mr W. Coghlan, said they would not be ■"replaced by other men. In
his opinion the cause of the trouble was an attempt by the employers to bolster up the Opposition case in the Federal Parliament on the Stevedoring Industry Bill. He said that the employers hoped to use the stoppage to show that the Stevedoring Industry Commission was not able to achieve harmony on the waterfront. TEST CRICKET.
