BRITAIN TOO HUMANE
COULD SUPPRESS TERRORISTS IN WEEK
(Rec. 8 a.m.) . NEW YORK, February 19. Faris el Khoiiri, the Syrian delegate to the Security Council, interviewed on his arrival, said the British Go- < vernment was too humane to the Jewish terrorists in Palestine, and Britain could easily suppress them in one week. He recalled the severity with which the British put down the Arab revolt in 1937 when “ hundreds of Arabs . were hanged for very small matters.’ He said the British were docile with the terrorists because .the American Government favoured the Jews and because “ there are four Jews in the British Cabinet.” Asked who, they were he named Mr Emanuel Shinweu and added: “ I don’t know the names of the others.” “
