FATAL FIGHT
TRAM CONDUCTOR’S DEATH FELLOW-WORKER CHARGED '(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 19. Charged with unlawfully , killing Alekh, Ram, at Wellington, thereby committing manslaughter, Neville Trevor Lawrence, a tram conductor, appeared before Mr AC M. Goulding, S.M., to-day, and was remanded until March 5.
Agreeing to the remand, and asking for bail, Mr C. H. Arnot said the case arose out of a fight between fellow employees. Bail was allowed in self of £2OO. with one surety of £IOO, the accused to report nightly to the police. Ram, a Hindu tram conductor, died about three o’clock this morning. Lawrence was arrested at 3.30 a.m.
