POLES IN PALESTINE

2,000 WANT TO GO HOME (Rec. 8 a.m.) JERUSALEM, February 14. Unrra headquarters announced that over 2,000 Poles during the past two weeks had signified their desire to return to Poland under Unrra auspices. This is a sudden development after a six months’ stalemate, in which Unrra and the Palestine Government have endeavoured to persuade dissident refugees to return. Unrra officials think that the present political and consequent economic conditions led to the Poles’ decision. The total number of Polish , men, women, and children refugees at present in Palestine reached 6,000.
