RAIDS ON COMMUNISTS
INSTIGATED BY BOMBAY POLICE ALLEGED PUBLICATION OF SECURITY PLANS (Itec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 14. The Government of India announced that the widespread raiding of Communists’ offices and homes yesterday was not carried out by the direction of the Central Government, but at the request of the Bombay police investigating Bombay newspapers. The Associated Press correspondent says that, yesterday’s raids were in search of Communist pamphlets purporting to contain extracts from Indian internal security plans, as well as copies of the newspaper ‘ People’s Age,’ containing an original article on the subject.,
