FLOWERS IN QUARANTINE
AIR CONSIGNMENT FROM N.Z. (Rec. 8 a.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 14. A bunch of prize gladioli blooms, brought by air from Auckland to-day by Sirs Nell Lowe, were put into quarantine on their arrival to ensure that they carried no disease. The blooms were picked before dawn this morning by Mrs Lowe, who expressed keen disappointme'nt at the restriction imposed. The gladioli will be kept at Rose Bay flying boat base until they are cleared by the quarantine officer.
