All-white Wedding Celebrated To-day at First Church

Bouffant frocks of white organdie were worn by the bride and her attendants at tiie wedding of Patricia, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. E. Russell. of Dunedin, and Allan, eldest son of Mr and Mrs H. C. Johnson, of Stratford, which was celebrated at First Church this; afternoon by the'Rev. W. Allen Steveily. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was in white organdie and lace over white satin, with a long tulle veil edged with lace, and held in place with a band of white roses and sweet peas. Her bouquet was of roses, lilies, and sweet Her bridesmaids, Miss Vivienne Russell and Miss Phyllis Throp, of Balclutha, were in white organdie over blue satin. They wore circlets of delphiniums and sweet peas in their hair, and carried shower bouquets of pastelshaded flowers, _ A flower girl, Julien McElrea, the niece of the bride, was in white frilled organdie, trimmed with btiie flowers, and carried a Victorian
posy. The best man and groomsman were the bridegroom’s, brothers, Messrs Bruce Johnson, of Whakatane, arid lan Johnson of Stratford', and the ushers were Messrs John Russell and Bernard Esquilant. As the bride and bridegroom came out of the church they were presented with a lucky horse shoe by s little Janht Christie, of Balclntha <■■■■ , \ A reception was held at the? Caledonian Club, where the guests; were received by Mr and Mrs assisted by Mr and Mrs Johnson., Mrs Russell wore a green corded velvet suit with black accessories; and: a'Spray of cyclamen-coloured , flowers. ■; Mrs Johnson was in a blue ensemble' with a spray; of pink roses. During; the'reception Mr lan Johnston sang a solo; For travelling the bride wore a blue suit .with. white accessories, and tiny white hat swathed in veiling, r > Mr and Mrs Johnson will . Jive at Massey College where he is the lecturer in dairy husbandry.
