MR A. I. McGOVERN

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 22. Mr A. I. McGoyern, owner and breeder of a number of successful racehorses, has died at To Awamutu, at the age of 59 years. Most famous of the horses bred and raced by Mr McGovern, was High Caste. This horse was sold to Mr H. E. Tancred, an Australian racing enthusiast, and won a great name in sport in the Commonwealth. Mr McGovern spent most of his life in the Waikato district. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters. One of his sons, Dr Vincent McGovern, is enlaced in medical research work in Sydney.
