The number of cattle offered at (Burnside to-day was 325, the quality being generally better than for . the previous week, and there was little quotable difference in values. There was a fairly large yarding of sheep, including many pens of excellent‘quality, but values barely compared with those ruling last week; prices being Is to 2s a head lower. Prime heavy woolly wethers brought up to 56s (id ; prime, 52s to 54s Gd ; medium, 46s to 48s; and light sold from 40s. Prime shorn wethers re-, alised 43s to 46s Gd; medium, 36s'to 38s Gd; and light sold from 30s. Prime heavy woolly owes brought up to 355; prime, 28s to 32s Gd; and medium sold from 25s to 26s Gd. Prime heavy shorn ewes realised up to 28s; prime, 24s Gd to 26s 6d; medium, 20s Gd to 21s Gd ; and light sold from 19s. . There was a large offering of spring lambs, approximately 22G being penned, prices being easier by 3s to 4s a head. Extra prime brought up. to 40s; prime sorts from 35s to 38s; and medium, 30s to #32s Gd. There was a fair yarding of store cattle, and again a good inquiry was made for all classes. Fresh three and four-vear-old steers of good colours realised up to £l6 ss; three to Si-year-old, £l3 2s Gd to £l4 12s Gd; two-year-old. £9 17s Gd to £ll 2s Gd; and 18-nionth-old from £7 2s Gd. Baconers again met with good competition, and late values were well maintained. Best baconers brought up to £9 Is; prime. £7 15s to £8 4s; medium. £6 15s to £7 3s; light, from £5 18s. Best porkers realised £4 16s to £5 2s; medium, £3 19s to £4 3s.
