No Mine Clearing in Corfu Sfraifs
(Rec. 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 12. According to the Yugoslav News Agency, the Albanian Government has warned Britain that any attempt by the British Navy to clear mines from any part of the' Corfu Straits, forming part of Albanian territorials waters, would be regarded as premeditated violation of Albanian sovereignty. The warnjng followed a British Note on the
subject of clearance of the channel. Reuter’s diplomatic correspondent learned authoritatively that Britain saw no reason to change her decision to. sweep the Corfu channel to-day for mines in view of the international agreement regarding such matters.
