RUSSIA’S COME-BACK TO BRITAIN AND
AMERICA
(Rec. 12.10 p.m.) LONDON* Nov. 4. It is reliably learned that General Kurochkin, the Russian representative on the Allied Control Council Co-ordi-nating Committee, 'denied that the Russians forcibly deported German technicians to Russia, says the Associated Press Berlin correspondent. An official Russian statement is not forthcoming in reply to the British and American requests for information, but the matter is reported to have been lengthily discussed. . _ General Kurochkin maintained that the Russians had done nothing more than any other occupying Power. He added that he was agreeable to disclose the names of German engineers and others who had gone to x ßussia provided Britain and America first an 5 nounced whom they had sent abroad. The matter was referred to'the next meeting of the committee on November 9, when a Four-Power announcement on policy concerning the recruiting of German workers for service abroad is expected.
