MEDICAL TRAINING
The committee appointed from the Senate of the University of New Zealand to prepare a report on' medical education in the Dominion began its sitting in Dunedin this morning. Evidence is being taken from various heads of departments in the Medical School, and the, members of the committee will inspect the research and other activities at the school and the Public Hospital. . One of the main aspects being examined is the admission of undergraduates to the Medical School after the intermediate year. The question of the amount of clinical and hospital work undertaken in other centres, and the organisation of post-graduate work in New Zealand are also being considered. , The committee, which is meeting under the chairmanship of Sir Thomas Hunter, will continue its sitting tomorrow.
