APATHETIC ELECTORS
FAILURE TO RECORD VOTES SYDNEY, October 19. Moie than 100,000 New South Wales electors failed to record their votes in the recent Federal elections, and in Victoria more than 84,000 did not vote. Unless these people have a reasonable explanation why they did not. -vote they are liable to a penalty of £2:iinder the compulsory voting provisions, of the. Commonwealth Electoral Act. The Senate poll for New South Wales will be declared on . Monday. The Labour team of Senators Ashley, Arnold, and Large were re-elected.
