RECLUSE'S WEALTH
DISCOVERIES BY SEARCHERS (ißec. 8 a.m.) . NEW YORK, October 20. Administrators of the estate of the Manhattan recluse, Mrs Minnie Weigle, aged 79, an investment broker’s widow, who died in her bathtub two months ago, found 269,500 dollars in cash and 1,000 dollars’ worth of jewellery in a secret compartment of a wardrobe trunk in her small hotel apartment. The discovery was made to-day after several searches which were impeded by quantities of rubbish and old clothing littering the apartment. The police earlier found 89,500 dollars ill bonds and uncashed cheques.
