SMALLPOX ON TROOPSHIP
ALL PASSENGERS VACCINATED LONDON, May 1. When the troopship Georgic, from Bombay, anchored in the Mersey, Liverpool doctors immediately went aboard to examine the 4,500 passengers, owing to a case of smallpox, which was disembarked, after which everyone was vaccinated. It is expected that about 100 servicemen will be placed in quarantine camps until the period of incubation is completed.
