SIMPLE SERVICES IN LONDON

MR NASH IN ATTENDANCE (Rec. 8 a.m.) LONDON, April 25. A large congregation of New Zealanders and Australians, _ including the Dominion's Deputy Prime Mr Walter Nash, and the Federal Prime' Minister, Mr J. B. Chifley, attended the Anzac Day service at St. Martms-in-the-Field. Later, a simple, but impressive, wreath-laying ceremony took place at the Cenotaph. Those who attended included Air-Marshal Sir Arthur Tedder, Lord Alanbrooke, Sir lan Hamilton, Lord Birdwood, Sir Alexander Godley,. and of the New Zealand,. Australian, British, and French services. Lieutenantgeneral Sir Bernard Freyberg laid a wreath for the New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr W. J. Jordan, who arrived at Avonmouth too late to reach, London in time for'the ceremony. .
