GREEN ISLAND SCHOOL
PARENTS' ASSOCIATION The annual meeting of the Parents' Association was held on Monday. There was a fair attendance. The annual report disclosed that, despite a year. interrupted by V.E. and V.J. celebrations, and ; towards the end of the year, by an epidemic of measles and mumps, the association had carried out a fairly comprehensive scheme of items calculated to raise the cultural and financial status of the school and district. The financial report showed that the association's credit balances were being steadily added to, a sum of £34 being the result of the year's working. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr A. Corbett; senior vicepresident, Mr Hadfield; junior vicepresident, Mrs F. Pa'rata; secretary, Mr D. Fincham; treasurer, Mr A. Barrett; committee—Mesdames T. Kidd, W. Fincham, ,1. Dryden, Messrs J. Dryden, W. Price, and W. Bottiug; auditors, Messrs W. Taylor and J. Rose; trustees, Mr A. Durable and one to be elected by the School Committee. The growing membership of the association wa9 reflected in the latest returns for the year, 76 parents being on the roll membership.
