EUROPEAN MAN POWER
GERMANY STRONGER THAN EVER OTHER COUNTRIES WEAKENED BY WAR LONDON, April 14. Hitler lost the war to make a greater Germany, but succeeded in leaving Germany larger by 4,500,000 people and endangered the future balance of the Continent. Thie fact is pointed out in the report of the International Committee forythe Study of European Questions. Hitler also succeeded in weakening the man power of other European countries, reducing the birth rate therein by separating 11,000,000 or 12,000,000 marriage partners for five years either as prisoners of war or slave workers. Germany's war<losses totalled 3,000,000, but the population increased by 7,500,000, whereas the losses in the Allied countries, including military casualties, the murder of civilians, and deaths from under-nourishment, amounted t0'15,000,000.
