VOLUNTEER WORKERS
ARRIVAL IN GREECE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 18. News has been received by New Zealand Corso of the arrival in Greece of the four teams of volunteer relief workers who left the Dominion just before Christmas. Under the leadership of Dr Sylvia Chapman, of Wellington, and Mr J. A. Horne, of Hamilton, the teams, which consist of 24 people in all, will assist Unrra in administering relief to the Greek people, who have been experiencing one of the most severe winters in modern history. The members of the teams are reported to be fit and well, nnd Mr Bruce Watts, who was roughly handled by a crowd of rioters in Cairo, has not suffered any ill-effects from his experience. Reports from Greece indicate that the position is still distressing and although an improvement has been made, owing to the largeTScale planning by Unrra and the work done by voluntary workers from America and all parts of the Empire, it will be a long time before the country is hack to even a minimum standard 1 of living.
