RUSH ON DIVORCE COURTS

LONDON, February 28. The department dealing with the service of divorces will. be expanded fourfold to deal with the heavy waiting list of petitions. This was announced by the Attorney-General, Sir Hartley Shawcross, in the House of Commons, answering questions, concerning the delay in handling the cases of waiting persons. There were 16,000 " poor persons " cases waiting, said Sir Hartley. He said that provincial offices would be established to decentralise the work of the service of divorces
