KIWI HOCKEY TEAM

GAMES IN INDIA (New Zealand Official News Service.) NEW DELHI, February 7. The Second N.Z.E.F. hockey team beat Delhi by 3 goals to 2. In a pleasing display, the New Zealanders threw the ball about confidently, and completely dominated the first half. After a-quartei of an hour on the defence in the second spell, the Kiwis took the initiative and were almost continuously in Delhi territory. They were unlucky not to score on seven occasions. In an earlier game against Lahore, which ■the New Zealanders lost by 2 goals to 1, a strong local team was* fielded, including three All Punjab players, while only 12 New Zealanders were fit enough for selection. Lahore dominated the first spell, but in the second the Kiwis took the initiative and a draw would have been a fairer indication of the run of the play.
