EARTH TREMOR
SHARP SHOCK FELT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 12. A sharp earthquake felt in Wellington just after 6.20 to-night. The Dominion observatory reported that the shock lasted for 75 seconds and ran along a line from north-east to southwest. (P.A.) CHIRISTCHUROH, Feb. J2. An earth tremour was felt throughout the Christchureh district at about 6.20 p.m. Some windows rattled and buildings shook very slightly. No damage was reported. The tremor, which lasted about three seconds, was also felt at Hanmer Springs. [No reports have been received of the tremor having been felt in Dunedin.!
