ANTI-COMMUNISTS AND UNION EXECUTIVE WOMAN MEMBER ALLEGES GESTAPO * METHODS (Rec. 12.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 24. The second round in the trial of strength between the anti-Communist bloc in the Clerks' . Union and l the executive took place when John Roberts, city accountant, appeared before the executive on two charges of alleged disruption within the union. He was denied legal representation, and during the cross-examination his solicitor sat in an adjoining room. The meeting was adjourned without the executive announcing its decision. Before the adjournment the executive refused to comment on the charge levelled at it by a woman member who appeared before it last week. She claimed that the executive was r.un on Gestapo methods, and that it . had " framed " her. Two other members called stated that they would not appear unless granted legal representation.
