SHOT DOWN OVER JAPAN
SUPER-FORTRESS CREWS BEHEADED NEW YORK, January 5. The * Herald-Tribune's ’ correspondent at Nagoya says the Japanese beheaded 38 members of Super-Fortress crews forced down at Kobe and Nagoya last May. The flyers were declared war criminals, but when Japan surrendered at Tokio, Army Headquarters ordered the bodies to he exhumed and cremated. The ashes were enshrined and all records and personal belongings were burned.
