BREAD RATIONING IN PARIS
FORGED CARDS CIRCULATED (Rec. noon,) LONDON.' Dec. 30. Forged bread cards have already apnea red after the announcement on Saturday that bread would again be rationed on Tuesday, reports Reuter’s Paris correspondent. The Minister of Food, M. TanguyPrigent, explained that rationing was necessary, first, because the harvest produced one-third less than last year’s; secondly, imports, particularly from Argentina, had failed; thirdlv, •"consumption rose to an unexpectedly high level when rationing was removed.
