MOVE TO REDUCE THE PRELIMINARY CONFERENCE (Rcc. 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 30. It is understood that the Government of India lias accepted America’s invitation to send a delegation to the preliminary trade conference, which will be held in the spring to consider the reduction of trade barriers, says Reuter’s New Delhi correspondent. The negotiations will be preliminary to a fulldress trade and employment conference to be held later in 1940. Britain, Canada. Australia, New Zealand, and Cuba have already accepted invitations to the preliminary conference.
