Government officials disclosed that the State Department has instructed the American delegates to the United Nations Organisation Assembly to push for a proinpt inter-nation study aimed at promoting freedom of the Press. The delegation will urge that a commission under the Economic and Social Council rather than the General Assembly should tackle the_ question because it is felt that investigation would thereby bo fuller.
