HIGHER PRICES FOR SOME PRODUCTS LRec. 10.55 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 30, Higher prices for some iron and steel products which generally have remained stabilised since 1940, are permitted under Ministry of Supply orders. Iron ore ’(cinder scale) is freed from price control. The main purpose of the orders is to relate prices to current production costs. The basic price of pig iron has increased bv £1 a ton, and the main steel products have generally increased by 5 per cent.
