Cup Day Prospects A high standard of racing on Saturday augured well for the next two days of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s Cup Meeting at Wingatui. Although the attendance at the time of the opening event promised that there would be a large crowd, it did i>ot increase to any great extent as the day advanced. The gate takings amounted to £685 and the totalisator investments to £42,832. As the day was one restored after war restrictions, there was no comparative meeting in recent years.
