5.500 MEN INVOLVED
LINK-UP WITH PORT KEMBLA DISPUTE
(Rec. 11.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 6. Some 5,500 men are now involved in the steel hold-up at Newcastle, and it is expected that another thousand will be affected to-day. The strikers decided that there can be no settlement of the Newcastle dispute until the Port Kembla strike (already in its seventh week) is settled. . The two strikes were not linked originally, but the men have decided, that they should be linked because seniority principles are involved in both.
