Assistant Commissioner Swanson was present throughout the competitions, and included among the_ visiting officers were Assistant Commissioner W. R. Curwen and Cadet Superintendent McCurdy (Southland District), District Superintendent E. V. Hughes and District Officer E. A. Arbuckle (South Otago Sub-district). OFFICERS’WARRANTS. Warrants have now been received from brigade headquarters for the following officers, and they will be presented as opportunity arises in the near future: —Al. .Authority to wear the service ribbon has been received for the following:— Superintendent W. J. Davies, ribbon with five crosses; Ambulance Officer J. Kearns, ribbon with four crosses; District Officer S. Perrett, first cross; Corps Officer A. R. McEwan, first cross; Superintendent J. Penson, Superintendent P. McPherson (Reserve), Superintendent Q. F. Reynolds, Ambulance Officer S. W. Lyon, Superintendent T. F. McLennan, Acting Sisters L. M. Sherman, W M. Wilson, and A. J. Colenso, also Privates K. D. Bridson and H. C. Jeffery, all 12 years’ service ribbons.

The Commandery Commissioner has approved the appointment of E. A. B. Arbuckle as district officer (cadets). South Otago Sub-district, from July 26 last.
