TRANSPORT PLANE CRASH

LONDON, October 19. Three members of the crew were killed and four seriously injured when a Dakota air transport crashed at Purley, near London, soon after taking off at Croydon. The plane slid down the front of a house, which was temporarily unoccupied, and came to rest against it with its engines buried in the garden. There were no passengers on board the transport.
