KING LEOPOLD

ATTITUDE TO HITLER UNPARDONABLY CONCILIATORY " BRUSSELS, October 19. M. Van Acker announced that the Senate debate on the question of King \ Leopold was adjourned indefinitely. This announcement followed a special three-hour meeting of party leaders at which M. Van Acker read a "document received from the United'States military authorities containing minutes of King Leopold’s meeting with Hitler at Berchtesgaden in November, 1940. There is great secrecy about the document, which will not be until the contents have been communicated to the King. 1 .Reuter’s Brussels correspondent says the opponents of the King who have seen the document say it shows that his attitude to Hitler “ was not treasonable, but unpardonabl.v conciliatory.” ■
