FAR EAST COMMISSION

FIRST MEETING POSTPONED (Rec. 11.5 a.m.) WASHINGTON, October 19. The State Department announced that the meeting of the Far Eastern Advisory Commission had been postponed from October 23 to October 30, because some delegates were unable to reach Washington by October 23. The Associated Press says the delay will allow additional time for the efforts being made by President Truman and other " Big Three " representatives to ensure Russia's attendance and also to breaJk the deadlock over the Balkans.
