OPOHO PRESBYTERIANS

INDUCTION OF MINISTER The Presbytery of Dunedin inducted the Bev. L. G. Geering into the pastoral charge of Opoho last night. The Moderator of the Presbytery, the Bev. S. D. Baird, presided, and there was a large congregation. The Rev. C. L. Gosling preached the occasional sermon and the Rev. R. S. Watson addressed the minister and the congregation. At the close of the service a welcome social was held, at which Mr and Mrs Geering were given a cordial reception by members and friends of the congregation. The interim Moderator, Dr J. D. Snlmond, presided, and the speakers included the Moderator of Presbytery and Messrs G. Dnglish and G. Morrison. After the social Mr V. Clapp made a presentation to Dr Sahnond and thanked him for his services as interim Moderator of the charge.
