NEW FISHING BOAT

TO BE LAUNCHED TO-MORROW

Port Chalmers boat-builders have established an enviable reputation for j the construction of small craft, and I orders have been delivered to various parts of the Dominion. The latest production of the port is a fishing boat for ,Mr George Brassell. of Lyttelton, who will be remembered in connection with Sanders Cup sailing contests. The boat is 58ft in length, with a beam of 15ft, and amoulded depth of 7ft 6in. She is built of kauri with hardwood keel and frames. She ligs a tuck stern similar to the ; Yankee counter type. Construction has been completed, and the craft will he launched to-morrow from the yard of Messrs Miller and Tunnage, at high water, which will be approximately 2.30 p.m. The launching ceremony will be performed by Mr Brassell’s wife, and the christening will be carried out by his cousin, the Rev.
