CAULFIELD CUP
FINAL ACCEPTORS MELBOURNE, October 17. A field of 27 was left in next Saturday's Caulfield Cup after the final acceptances had been declared to-day. Immediate and First In were withdrawn. First In's off foreleg has been troublesome since she ran in the Caulfield Stakes last Saturday. The field includes two previous winners, Tranquil Star and Counsel, aged eight.. They are the veterans of the field. Tranquil Star, the greatest stake-winning mare in Australia and New Zealand, will be making her fifth attempt in the race, which she won three years ago. The acceptors are as follows: Caulfield Cup, £7,650. l£m.—Counsel 9.5, St. Fairy, Tranquil Star 9.0, Three Wheeler 8.10, Bootle, High Play 8.8, Royal Flight, Tea Cake 8.7, Great Victory 8.5, Spearmain 8.2, King Opera iS.O, Huntingdale, Night Fighter, Valcurl 7.13, Gay Revelry 7.12, Centenary, Hartnell, Punctilia 7.9, Rubtontine 7.7. Silver Link 7.6, Duntroon, Rainbird 7.4, Blue Legend 7.2, Register 7.0, Queen Midas 6.13, Leonard, Logical 6.11.
Immediate has top-weight, 8.12, in the Moonga Handicap, of seven furlongs. Stenelaus has 7.8 in this race.
