BIGGER VEGETABLE CROPS
Grow bigger vegetables by sterilising soil with Jeyes" Fluid. Seeds and seedlings grown in sterilised soil develop more quickly and are in better condition to withstand insect attack. A simple, effective method is to water the plot with a solution of Jeyes' Fluid—one tablespoon to each gallon of water, using about one gallon per square yard. Jeyes' Fluid applied in this fashion will not destroy essential soil bacteria. Afterwards the ground should be. dug and left a fortnight. Jeyes Sanitary Compounds Ltd., London.
