CONTRACTS CANCELLED
SHIPBUILDING IN AMERICA (Rec. 11 a.m.) . WASHINGTON, August 20. The Maritime Commission has announced the cancellation 0f.425,000,000 dollars’ worth of contracts covering the construction of 135 ships; also three contracts for special military equipment. One contract was for 24 small tankers foi lend-lease to Britain.
