Auckland 14i, Victoria 111, allti Massey witli 2J. » Iho main attraction of yesterday’s events was a representative Association football match between .North and and South Island teams, while the last round df the women’s hockey dmv was also completed in the afternoon. Fencing and basketball games were held during the day. Olago won the fencing with 3i points, Auckland being runner-up with 1J points. On the completion of play a vote of thanks was accorded the president of. the bouts, Sir Joseph Ward, who expressed the belief that, while the standard had been satisfactory, it would be much higher in six years’ time, when the next winter tournament was held in Dunedin.
