ATTACKED BY JAPANESE
U.S. PLANES OVER TOKIO GROUND DEFENCES ALSO OPEN UP LONDON,' August 17. Four American planes over Tokio, taking 'photographs, were attadked by Japanese fighters and fired on by the ground defences. One enemy fighter was shot down and one American plane was badly damaged.
