An N.Z.E.F. casualty_ list records the death on active service of Private Lindsay Joseph Copland, whose widow is Mrs E. J. Copland, Dunedin. According to a ' Gazette ' notice last night, Mr F. L. G. West, of Auckland, has been appointed a member of the special tribunal under the National Service Emergency Regulations. The ' Gazette ' last night announced the appointment of Mr H. A. Young to be a temporary stipendiary magistrate from June 25 to September 30 of this year. Archbishop O'Shea, of Wellmgton, left to-day for Apia to take part in the episcopal jubilee, celebrations of the Right Rev. J. Darnand, Vicar Apostolio of Samoa, whom he consecrated 25 years ago. Lieutenant-colonel (Monsignor) Connolly will accompany him, and will afterwards visit the Roman. Catholic chaplains and New Zealand Air Force personnel in the Pacific. Mr G. F. Parsonson, manager of tha Norwich Union Fire Insurance Office in Dunedin, who has been transferred to the managership of the Norwich office in Christchurch, was met yesterday afternoon by a number_ of his friends and made a presentation by Mr S. Owen, on behalf of those present," of a smoker's outfit. Mr Parsonson left this morning for Christchurch. Latest registrations at the Grand Hotel include Mrs M. E. King (Helensville), Mr A. E.
