SERVICEMEN ENTERTAINED

RAVENSBOURHE A successful function was held in the Coronation Hall at Ravensbourue on Saturday night for the purpose of giving 25 recently-returned servicemen a welcome home. Mr P. K. Davis occupied the chair. The deputy-mayor, Mr T. Bradshaw, officially welcomed the boys on behalf of. the residents, and presented each with a small token of esteem. Mr C. W. Wendelken, vicepresident of the local R.S.A. branch, also addressed the gathering. Sergeantmajor Parker replied. A programme arranged by Mrs Condon and Mrs Newey was interspersed with dancing Items were given by Mothers' League Choir, Mr H. Facer, and Misses Musson and Hood. Mr R. Guthrie was M.C.
