SECONDARY SCHOOL COMPETITION

WON BY ST. HILDA'S

St. Hilda's College yesterday woh the annual secondary school girls' life saving championship competition conducted by the Otago branch of the Royal Life Saving Society at the Municipal Baths. Competition in the championship, which had been held by the Otago Girls' High School for the past 12 years, was keen. The 133 1-3 yards relay championship was won by the Otago Girls' High School for the seventh consecutive year, Southland Girls' High School, being the run-ner-up, and Dunedin Technical High School third. The following'were the results:— LIFE SAVING CHAMPIONSHIP. St. Hilda's College (L. Harty, captain, H. Rowley, L. Hunt, J. Johnson, and B. Moore), 127.8 points, 1; Dunedin Technical High School (D. McAra, captain, J. Brown, C. Colston, Lvall Kearns, and S.. Simonsen), 126.3 points, 2; Otago Girls' High School (V. Brown, captain, V. Brown. H. Forsyth, E. Chadwick, and E. Armstrong), 121.65 points 3. Also, competed: iSouthland Girls' High School, 120.9 points, 4; Columba College, 120.45' points, 5; St. Dominic's College, 111.85 points, 6. RELAY CHAMPIONSHIP.
