SHARE MARKET. Another quiet call was recorded on th» Dunedin Exchange this morning, with business restricted to two reported transactions in Union Banks and the contributing issue of N.Z. Refrigeratings. Three per cent. stocks were again on offer, but only one* buyer came forwaxd, the 1955-58 issue closing between £97 15s-£9B'2s 6d. Bank of New Zealands were inactive at 47s 6d48s 6d, with the Long D on offer at 30s. Unions, after reported business et £8 6s 6d. had declared buyers at £8 ss. N.Z. Refrigeratings paid finished at 295-30 s, while the contributings had an unanswered purchaser up to 14s. Waitaki Freezings found a market at £7 ss-£7 15s. Miscellaueou* scrip was steady,- with little change recorded. Mount Morgans showed another fractional advance on buyers' demands to 7s 2d without attracting a holder, while Lyells were quoted at 295-30 s and Brokea Hill Souths at 28s 3d-295. Advice has been received by the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce of amendments to the import licensing schedule for the 1945 period affecting citric acid, sanitary earthenware, and parts of domestic radio sets. MACKY, LOGAN, CALDWELL. The net profit of Messrs Macky, Logan, Caldwell Ltd. for the year ended on February 19 was £6,392, a decrease of £1,817. An unchanged dividend at the rate of 7£ per cent, per annum (final 4£ per cent.) requires £6,375,- and the floating balance is increased by £l7, DIVIDENDS DECLARED. The directors of the Mosgiel Woollen Factory Company have declared an interim dividend of. 4 per cent.'for the halfyear ended April 6. The directors of the Equitable Building and Investment Company, ; Wellington, have agreed ,t° recommend payment of a final dividend of 3 per cent, in respect of the year ended Marcli 3 last. So far 97.000 bales have been appraised, and at the final appraisal, which will open over the weekend, a further 15.000 bales will bo catalogued, making a total of approximately 112,000 bales for the season. The previous recovd was 106.763 bales in 1942-43. while last season 106,694 bales were dealt'with. It is 6tated that there will be no carryover this season and that the storage spaco is adequate. If the coming appraisal realises £l9 0s 6d a-bale, the average for the last appraisal, the cheque will amount to £289,500. which will bring the total pay-out for the season to £2.192.000; compared with'".the previous record in 1942-43 of £2.039.000,. ■ BREWERY'S ACCOUNTS;

A net profit of £15,434, compared with £15,250 the previous year, is reported in the nineteenth annual- report and balancesheet of the Dunedin: Brewery and Wilson Malt Extract Company Ltd. Taxation provision is unchanged at £II,OOO. while tho distribution of 5 per cent, absorbs £3,750. The directors recommend the transfer to the : general reserve, of £SOO, leaving o carry-forward of £337. Creditors and overdraft are slated- at £56,128. compared with £45,890. while reserves and appropriation amount to £lB.461, as against £17,777. Cash and debtors are stated at £18,736 (£19,082), etock at £37,406 hotels and trade itivesiments £31.049 (£49,464V, and property and plant £42.398 (£39,297).
