NATIONAL PARTY ACTIVITIES
Despite tho wintry conditions prevailing last evening, sufficient Mornington members and supporters of the New Zealand National Party attended a meeting at the Methodist Sunday School Hall to form yet another branch of the Dunedin Central Electorate. The chairman, Mr L. J. Ireland, in addressing the meeting, stressed the importance of the work being done by the branches already formed, and the district organiser, Mr H. McLeod. outlined the iplan of organisation being put into operation. A strong committee was formed, and representatives to the Electorate Committee were appointed. The holding of two other functions in the district prevented many members and supporters from attending, and it was decided to postpone the election of a branch chairman until the next meeting, to be held in the near future.
