ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
INQUEST OPENED. | An inquest was opened this morning at the Hospital into the death of Ronald Stuart Mullin (54), a married man, who 'left, his work at the City Corporation Tramsheds yesterday morning after complaining of illness, and collapsed and died on reaching his home'at 161 Oxford street,_ South Dunedin. ' After evidence of identification had been given by James' Anderson, a fellow employee, the coroner (Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) adjourned the proceedings sine die. CONSTABLE INJURED. While proceeding to his home at Macandrew Bay last night Constable. Charles Brittenden (29), who is stationed at the Central Police Station, fell from his motor cycle, and was admitted to the Hospital suffering from a fractured skull. His condition today was reported by the Hospital authorities to be satisfactory. FALL AT WORK.
A fall at his work at the Dunedin Engineering Company last night resulted in Rupert Etheridge (29), a married man, of Fine Hill, injuring hi& pelvis. He was admitted to the Hospital shortly before midnight.
