"GO-SLOW' IN FREEZING WORKS

DISPUTE OVER TRANSPORT '- (P.A.) MASTERTON, March 1. A "go-slow" policy was commenced by the employees of the Waingawa Freezing Works this morning following demands that transport be provided for them for. all shifts, and the police were called in to prevent. acts of intimidation. It is understood that; a meeting of the union and company" v officials last night agreed that work would continue as usual until the meeting to-day with the Transport Licensing Authority. Despite the decision of union officials, " go-slow " commenced this morning. Transport to and from the works was primarily a matter for the transport authorities, said Mr Mathieson, secretary of Borthwick and Sons, to-day. The issues raised by the men had been referred to the Transport Licensing Authority for the district, Mr Skoglund, and the meeting between Mr Skoglund and the men hag been arranged for this afternoon.
