WIDESPREAD ATTACKS
O.S. BOMBERS IN PACIFIC (Rec. noon.) LONDON, Oct. 8. The Berlin radio quotes a message from Tokio saying that approximately 1,000 American planes attacked Koror Island, in the Palau group, during the week-end. The Tokoi radio reported that 200 American planes on Saturday raided Japanese positions in the Molucca Islands] 54 bombers twice attacked Sorong, in Western New Guinea, and 53 planes attacked Zamboanga.
